A great capsule hotel in the heart of Ueno. Very close to the train station and close to the Ueno park, museums and zoo. A lovely capsule with great facilities, comfortable and clean with a nice spa and sauna. Floor for men and women separate. The capsules are comfortable and the staff are helpful and English speaking, it’s actually one of the cheapest capsules in Japan and worth every part of its 2150 yen few. Nice and a great experience you will not find in another country.

Friendly English speaking boy working at the counter. Good rooms though no AC which means super humid. Low price though and plenty of extras. Some good people seem to frequent the place. Overall good value. Some people might give the place a lower rating but you have to understand that you're staying in Shinjuku at night which is the shadiest place in all of Japan.

If you are looking for a real capsule experience, this is it. Don't go anywhere else. Also, make sure to ask for a suit. Its perfect during carnival, but also for any other conceivable occasion. :-) Men only.

If you're a couple that didn't get rooms on the third floor together (which are more expensive) then you will have to be lucky if you want to meet up on the very small common area that both genders can meet in. There are only three small tables. Obviously not the hostels problem but for some reason men like to meet at the common room even though they have about 5 floors of other spaces they could meet. Overall the hostel isn't too friendly, they didn't tell us that a yellow sheet if paper you get is essentially your key because it's what you use to exchange for your Locker key every time you leave the hostel. If you lose your sheet, couldn't anyone find it and redeem it for your Locker key? The English instructions for things can be confusing. Personally I did not understand what this meant, it was in the women's bathroom

The hotel location is excellent as it is only 5 minutes walk from subway, close to Ameyoko shopping street and not far from many tourist attractions including various museums and the famous Asakusa shrine and shopping street. It’s also affordable to stay considering the high cost of living in Tokyo. Note that it’s not only a capsule hotel for male, it’s also a Japanese style public bath so you must be comfortable to get naked and shower with other Japanese male customers in the same bathing area. Also inside the capsule cabin, it’s a bit too warm and not sound proof so you could easily hear your neighbor in the next capsule snoring or making some noise. Anyway, it’s a great experience if you want affordable and convenient place to stay in Tokyo and enjoy the Japanese style public bath at the same time.

For what it is, this place is fine. The concept is a little strange but it works. The location is superb! Some really brilliant places to eat and drink all around.
