iStite Takayama do a 1/2 day Shirakawago tour that I have been on several times. It is a good price and an easy way to get to/from the Shirakawago village. The guides are informative and provide enough information on the way and at the World heritage Site itself. Time at the village is around 2 hours which is actually plenty of time to see everything.

Signed up for a half day bus tour to Shirakawa-go. It was the same cost as taking noshi bus on our own to Shirakawa-go but we had a very friendly guide who explained little bit about the village and comfy reclining seats. Also took us to the hilltop viewpoint for a panoramic view of Shirakawa-go. It was a small group (10 people) tour and we had lots of free time. Recommended!
Went on the half day Shirakawago tour in the afternoon from Takayama station. The price for the tour is the same as the price for the public transport to get therr so it definitely made sense to go as this had an english speaking guide and a comfy airconditioned bus. Guide was friendly and funny and tour bus was clean. You only get 2 hours at Shirakawa go so recommended only for those who are just there to take a short look.
Reserva de tour de medio día para shirakawa-go en la mañana. Más barato que autobus normal, con guía en inglés (yamamoto) y tiempo suficiente libre para visitar la villa. Agencia muy recomendada y muy amables.
