We came across this BBQ restaurant, good price and good quality, it used 5th grade Hida beef, tasty squid, Pork loin, mix vegetables. Highly recommend if you travel with car.

I had given up hope on finding a decent restaurant that was open on a Wednesday evening. Everything on the other side of the station was either fully booked or a tourist trap. This restaurant serves generous portions and the quality of the meat and vegetables is excellent. It's a no frills affair, which makes it nice and easy to go to. The menus are in Japanese only and I didn't see any foreigners there, so probably best if you can speak japanese.

飛騨牛の上カルビが最高でした！タレも美味しかったです。塩タンは奥さんに勧められて玉ねぎを包んでタン用のタレにつけて食べたら本当に美味しかったです！
飛騨高山駅から徒歩約10分の道沿いに有る赤なんばんです。飛騨牛のロースや上カルビがお手頃な価格で頂けて古い町並みの飛騨牛串よりもお得です。 メニューには飛騨牛や国内産、米国産と明確に書いてますね。 お肉の他に野菜も美味しくて量が多いですよ。 ビールは１杯500円くらいです。
良い意味で普通です。上カルビ、ミノ、美味しかった！子連れでも大丈夫！隣に８台くらい止められそうな駐車場あります。席は座敷が7テーブルと、他にもあったかも！
