The most horrible place. The staff, except for one, who is a Pastor, were terrible. The beds are 2” thick and the pillows are the same. There was a thin spread on the bed and the temperature was about 50 degs. I asked for another spread and was told “no”. I spent the next 5 days pacing the floor in the common area. The counselor was treated me like a criminal even though I was there for alcohol recovery. They had me housed with insane people, that would start screaming and talking to people that were not there.

I move to Leon County Tallahassee Florida May 2017 I was having Insurance problem where I couldn't find a primary care doctor I wasn't feeling good and my service animal activated so I always call hospitals to verify if I could bring my service animal they said yes we allow service animals what they didn't understand this you cannot ask what type of breed it is if you're here to help patients people at need you should accept them all shine do is ask for help so I can get my doctor and get on my medication I'm a medical marijuana patient as well because I said it's a service animal pitbull they told me I cannot come and bring my service animal wow but the truth is I've been talking to the community I hope the board members of Apalachee sees this because there's a lot of things that's been going on in that facility you swore an oath to help us under the law Medical thank you for violating my civil rights and discriminating against my service animal and thank you for not helping me when I needed it I don't want this to ever happen to anybody else and this is why I'm telling you my story under the Ada of 1990. Absolutely no care for their patients. Willingly let’s patients run out of medication and refuse to give them more medication in a timely manner. Also they refuse to give the family directions on how they can obtain medication for their loved one from an outside source. Then when patients display symptoms from their mental health disorder, they refuse to admit them into inpatient. Even with insurance. It’s almost as if they want patients to commit a crime before they step in. They also love to hang up the phone on families. NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED BY THE STATE!! I am contacting my state and county representatives as of now.

i was there in april and had to sleep on the floor for 3 nights and was denied showers during that time because there were no beds. the staff is heartless and never seems to care ab a patient. they took no precautions for covid whatsoever. another patient grabbed my breast in front off staff and nothing was done. several of the staff were very transphobic towards patients. i could go on and on. please PLEASE do not go there or take your loved ones there

They take there sweet time. Me and my grandmother have been there for over 2 hours before she was called back. And they would see people that came in after us.
