A regional resource built on a Solid Waste site. The Landfill closed in 2015 and the location has been transformed into a nature park. With 100 acres of space, the Master plan shows a huge park with various sporting events, picnic areas, etc (much of the work is still years away and at all times while you are picnicking, remember you are over a landfill! A good place to run, hike, walk - take the dog! Lots of open spaces. There are large fields, an RC airplane location (might be a good place to fly your drone) and biking trails. Future development includes wildlife viewing platforms and a dog park!
