Made the mistake of going on Cinco DeMayo believe me, that was not my idea....the poor girl waiting on our party was either new on the job and did not know what she was doing ( although I noticed she had time to blab to the laid back bartender ) or she was spread too thin...it appeared she had to go to the other room as well which was dumb, she said that someone had called in sick but I saw plenty of wait staff around mostly just standing all around like it wasn't the biggest Mexican food holiday of the year. I gave out coupons to everyone she said okay to them and when we all tried to use them at the end, the management refused even though there was nothing spelled out on them for holidays or special events, so we ordered appetizers thinking they'd be free. That really sucked.

Do NOT got to this place! My husband and I used to go to this place sometimes. The prices were usually cheap, and the food was nothing more than average. However, their service is TERRIBLE and one experience several months ago made me stop coming to this place all together. One time a large party of my friends came to this place at my recommendation and I was with them. The server literally would not wait on us - we waited twenty minutes and nothing happened. Eventually we had to go and find him in the restaurant. Then he mixed up what time of day it was and gave us the wrong menu when he did finally serve us! He was just plain rude and did not care about our party at all. He took forever on everything. We paid a 15% tip for the entire group which was the normal amount expected of a large party. However, when we were leaving the server literally came out of the restaurant, went up to a car that my friends were in, knocked on their car window and told them we hadn't given him a big enough tip! Honestly it was a rather frightening situation, so the person in the car, being a nice person, decided to add a little extra on the tip from their credit card. Well guess what - not so long after this incident I talked to the person who gave a little extra for our server's tip and they said they had had a breach on their credit card and there was a 100 purchase on their card they did not make. I am almost CERTAIN that this server was the one who took the credit card numbers when they asked for more money on their tip. We couldn't complain to a manager about this situation when it happened because there was no manager on duty at the time. But even if there was a manager on duty, nothing he could say to me would ever make me come back to this restaurant ever again. I will NEVER eat at Morelia's again and whenever anyone mentions that they are considering eating at Morelia's, I always tell them to go somewhere else.

Lsat night we decided to give Morelia's a try again after a year. Service was good but my taco's were worse than Taco Bell on the serving on meat. Less than 25% of the bottom of the shell had any meat. Yet the pricses have increased. Food was good but I can't pay more for that much less. Disappointing.

Great food, friendly and attentive staff, and great prices. I dine there regularly.

I originally was looking for that place next to calico jacks but it looks like El Jalisco bought them out and are going to open their 20th location. I had my trepidations as soon as I pulled up with my conservative covered Muslim wife and 2 year old daughter but I kept an open mind and scoped the place out and saw they had a decent dining area in the back so we sat town and waited 15 minutes for our waiter to get off his phone and ask if we needed something to drink. Chips came out were cold but salsa was decent. Our water came out and we ordered, I asked for queso and was ignored, my queso never came out. Finally our food made it out and my chimichanga was good, however no queso on the burrito??? Also never actually got our queso nevertheless I got explosive diarrhea and had to rush out of there and I sit writing this review, I'd tell you to stay away but I doubt that place will be open much longer. Last thing as we were waiting for our food sounds like a rhino smashing into the fridge were coming out of the kitchen, at that point I figured it was time to gtfo!

Food quality makes this restaurant the best Mexican styled restaurant in Tallahassee, hands down. El Jalisco's has nothing on this.

This is okay food. Since they moved to their new location, I feel as if the food quality has gone down hill.
