Nice to do one time, the view is lovely. 20 lei both ways, nice staff. The place is not very tourist friendly, pretty forgotten. The last trip up is at 4pm. When you get up, there is a mountain road to the Brasov sign, wear apropiate shoes.

A very nice place in nature. Good prices. Great guidance.. nice things to buy in the way.. but I wish to provide us with more guidance while we walk to the top of the mountain. I felt a little bit afraid walking alone.
Even though there's not much to do when you reach the top, if you have the possibility, don't miss out on going up by the cable car because the view of Brasov is breath taking.
It's a nice and easy means of transport to get to the top of Tampa. At around noon we had to wait in line about 30 mins to get to the cable car. The bathroom was also not that clean. Also it's nearly impossible to reach this place by phone as there is no available phone number.
The views from the cable car are great, but once you're on the top there's nothing to do there. The mountain is very dirty and it isn't prepared to take pictures of the city.
A little disorganized and dated, but an entertaining ride. This place hasn't changed much since the ex dictator died. It has modern gates for letting people in and out, but that's it. The price is ok (not cheap, not expensive) for what you get in return.
I'm a real sucker for cable cars and this one was very enjoyable. You can really see how steep the hill is. If the weather hadn't been so ominous, I would probably also have enjoyed walking down instead of taking the ride down.
It's 18 Lei for a return trip, the ride takes 5 minutes and then it's a 10 minute trek to the Mt Tampa hill top where you will you will have a brilliant view over the old town. The restaurant at the cable car top station was not open when i was there, so you had to walk to Mt Tampa to get any view at all, and even though it's only a 10 minute trek it is quite a climb and I'm sure it can be quite slippery..
