I really don’t like leaving bad reviews for small businesses. In this particular case I feel I must post this. I tried this restaurant for the first time over the weekend based on all of the excellent reviews that I had seen posted. I went to the restaurant for carry out with great expectations. I am being diplomatic when I say that the restaurant left something to be desired. The shame of it is that the quality of the food did not seem to be that bad- the problem seemed to be in either the preparation or the execution of the product. The Mongolian beef that I had ordered was actually quite bland except for the amount of sodium in it. I must say that I have never had food from a restaurant where they literally just dump the salt container in the food. Three days later I can still taste the salt. To top it off the fried rice that I had ordered was quite dry and the kernels of rice were hard. Eating from there cured my need for a fix of Chinese food.

NEVER knew this place existed. The portions are a good size and reasonable prices. My pad Thai was the best. I'll have to remember this place for mothers day
First of all, let me start by saying that from the very first time I ordered food at China Legend the owner and his wife have always been polite and respectful. I find that hard to come by these days. Very nice people. Now after I ate the food, I was HOOKED! Not sure how the man does it, but the cook is awesome! I've eaten Chinese food everywhere in Tampa you could think of and China Legend is the best hands down! I WOULD and I DO recommend China Legend to everyone I know!
Food was good. Service was excellent. We called ahead to order and it was ready when I got there. No waiting! That was a nice change of pace. Loved that they have gone the extra mile to protect their staff and patrons from Covid. There was plexiglass all along the front counter and they even used a pass through window. The only warning that I might give is that they are not kidding when they say the orange chicken is spicy. Lol
We have been getting excellent food from here ever since China Legend took over but the quality has taken a very bad turn. Last time I ordered shrimp it was on the verge of spoilage and this time I ordered chicken chow mein and on got celery, onions and maybe a dozen bean sprouts. Rice tasted like yesterday and very chewy egg rolls. Time to find a new place I'm afraid
Holy Moly! After 5 years in the North Dale / Carrollwood area, I've finally found a Chinese food restaurant worth writing home to mom about. I wish I would have found it sooner. My husband and I ordered take-out and I was really impressed with their covid barrier setup and how clean the establishment was. The dining area wasn't large, but there is plenty of parking and I was able to get in and out in no time. As soon as I pulled the moo shu pork wraps out, I knew this place wasn't going to disappoint. The wraps were so fresh and everything was perfectly delicious. Very friendly service on top of it all. We will definitely be back!
Best Chinese Food in Tampa!! We are so addicted to their food. Along with their Hot Oil become a game changer! Awesome service! Friendly and professional.
