I also stayed the week of Thanksgiving. We arrived on Sunday Nov 24. The first bug we saw was on Tues evening in the family room. My grandson killed and disposed it. That night I killed a different type of bug on the wall of the front bedroom. The next morning my son said he saw several baby roaches in the hall bath that scattered and ran under the toilet that was loose from the floor. The owner came on Wed. I felt better that night thinking the problem was taken care of. I saw one roach dying in the front bedroom. My husband killed it. I woke in the middle of the night to use the bathroom in front bedroom and another roach was crawling there. My husband killed it. The next morning I saw one crawling in the shower. We took pictures and video if needed to prove. We did not leave food out. Only bread and chips which were in their wrappers. Your house is very nice and great views but how can anyone sleep under these circumstances. We go on many trips and have never complained. How dare you message my daughter that her family is "obviously embarrassed by her". You don't even know us. Just find out why there is a bug problem and your place could be 5 star.

We stayed here for my parents anniversary with our family. It was incredible and the owners were extremely hospitable. If you are wanting to stay as a family together, this is the place to rent!
My family stayed here the week of Thanksgiving. Everything was great until we started seeing roaches and saw feces in the kitchen cabinets. I contacted Cheri who assured me she'd be over to treat. She came over and made light of the 'palmetto bugs' and gecko feces. She started cleaning the cabinets when we left. When we returned many hours later, the cabinets were not clean. She did spray in the bathroom for bugs. We continued to have bugs that night. When we called VRBO, Cheri cancelled our reservation. We had to get our things, throw away the groceries we had bought, check into a hotel and buy our remaining meals. Cheri is refusing the reimburse our additional expenses. While the location is wonderful, I would not recommend renting this property.
