Our Etna 3000 tour with Claudio was a delight. We booked last-minute for a German speaking tour (he speaks fluent German, English, Italian, and maybe more). Claudio's passion for Mt Etna was clear even over the phone - he accommodated our late booking wonderfully and got us excited for the next day. We were in a small group of eight which was perfect. Like many other tours, we took the gondola partway up the volcano and the bus up to 2900m. Unlike other tours however, after seeing two of the craters, Claudio led us all the way back down on foot, taking us off the beaten track to many other craters and areas that you wouldn't normally see. He explained everything indepth and answered our questions brilliantly. The tour was fun and exciting. We even had lunch inside a crater, warming up by sitting on the warm rocks! If you're after an exciting, informative tour of Etna, Claudio and EtnaWay comes highly recommended. Thanks for everything, Claudio!

We met up with our tour guide Claudio which was fluent in English, Italian and German at 0930 at the funivia del etna. From there we hiked up to about 2500 meters elevation point all while getting educational facts and history about mount etna. Claudio kept us engaged for during the entire hike! We had lunch by the montagnola. One of the best views in Sicily! Highly recommend it.

I have really enjoyed our guided tour on the Etna mountain (south side) with Etna tour. Claudio, our guide, spent the entire day for showing us numerous craters, tunnels and holes. He gave very detailed (and interesting!) explanations on how the volcano has emerged. My little daughter did not like to walk as far as the rest of the group, so Claudio found some shortcuts so that she could still participate in the tour while walking less than the adults. A special highlight was running downhill through the volcanic sand. I definitely recommend Etna Tours and would definitely book them again next time. I acknowledge that visiting south side of Etna is quite expensive, as the cablecar already costs 66 Euros p.P. If this is a problem, I would still recommend to go with Etna Tours, but visit the north side instead.
