Really good herbal teas so definitely go for it on a cold windy day. My sandwich although a very simple choice was very delicious. Highly recommend this place!

On one of numerous visits to Tarifa, I discovered La Tarifeña, a popular pastry and bread shop in the old medina, not far from the archway entrance or from Cafe 10. On a December 2017 walk along the port area, opposite the fishing boats, I was delighted to discover another La Tarifeña Puerto cafe-restaurant and bar. It was open and it almost completely filled with people, so I walked in and ordered a cortado. Apparently there is a third La Tarifeña Puerto cafe-restaurant in the newer area of Tarifa, but I failed to find it since it is almost out of town altogether, yet near a beach. La Tarifeña Puerto is pleasant and modern, and except on cloudy days sunlight pours in through its large plate glass windows, providing a view of the fishing port and ocean. The day after I first discovered it, I returned in the late afternoon for another coffee and to use its excellent WiFi. There is an extra long brown leather sofa set against one wall. La Tarifeña Puerto serves breakfast, omlettes, lunch and various sandwiches. There is also a bar if you want a beer or other alcoholic drink. Both hot and cold sandwiches, coffees and various teas, croissants, fruit juices, milk shakes are on the menu. This cafe-restaurant is very reasonably priced. As I write, I am the only person inside so it is very quiet. It's an excellent place to stop in on arrival at the port or just before departure for breakfast, sandwich, pastry, snack, or just a drink or coffee. La Tarifeña Puerto has background music, but it's not too loud so you can still have a conversation. There are about six to eight tables outside, sheltered from the winds and sun. I'm walking there for breakfast as soon as it opens. Credit cards are accepted. The busy waiters and waitresses are all friendly and efficient.
Chocolate cake was awesome, friendly service good place to have a coffee with some good cakes
This place has 2 locations, a the restaurant/cafe by the port and the pastries in the old city. First about the the pastry: 5 stars! Second, the restaurant: 3 Stars! This is probably the best deserts and pastries place in Tarifa ! And even maybe on the of the best in the province! Excellent execution and presentation and friendly staff. Can get crowded but 100% worth it Tocino de Cielo was really good! In general , they sell traditional Spanish and Moroccan and French inspired deserts and sweet and savoury pastries. They also sell honey, marmalades and they all looked good, but we didn't try them! Now come to the cafe/restaurant: The food there is standard Spanish. Not as exceptional as the desserts shop. For some reasons there is a sort of bad/commercial vibes, for instance the servers always looks really tired and angry and forced to work extra hours.
Good cafeteria and very good crew
