We took our niece and nephew (9 and 6) here for a last minute weekend break, they absolutely loved it. Its full of history and "treasure" they had fun from the moment they arrived. Great weekend felt very welcomed, would come again.

The accommodation really exceeded our expectations in every aspect and we had a very comfortable stay indeed. This was a delightful and unique property. Everything was absolutely immaculate and the owner could not have been more helpful. We will definitely recommend to anyone we know who wishes to stay in and around this area in the future.

Amazing place to stay, we loved it. Quirky building, everything of the highest quality - nothing has been skimped on for the comfort of guests. Parking not a problem as there is a dedicated space. Fantastic if you play Ingress/Pokemon: the building itslef is a portal and others are in reach (two - four, depending on a little friendly GPS drift!) Wiveliscombe is a handy starting point for so many interesting places to visit - I can see us returning here!

We can't recommend the Old Reading Rooms enough...a warm, spacious family home in a truly special, historic building. The upstairs lounge has a spacious window seat for cosy reading on a wet afternoon; there are games, books and a 4K TV; the kitchen has everything you could need (we even baked a cake); there's a Bose speaker/radio to stream your own playlists/Spotify; the dining table and window bench could easily seat 10; the shower room and family bathroom are high powered with fresh soft towels; the bedrooms are fresh and comfy and the mezzanine king has lovely views over the town. Wivvy itself has great walks, an antique centre and two great pubs and is only 25 minutes from the coast and Dunster Castle. Perfect!
