I was a little hesitant about using Community Health Tavares at first because I associated it with the county Health Departments. I assumed —wrongly— that we wouldn’t be treated kindly or respectfully. However, we were having issues with our insurance plan and subsequently dropped. CHC was a two minute drive from our house and have payment plans/sliding scale. They also offer dental services, so I figured why not kill two birds with one stone. Let me tell you: I’m so glad I took a chance with them! All the employees are kind and helpful, the wait time is usually reasonable, and every room I’ve seen has been extremely clean. I’ve continued to use them even after getting our insurance reinstated. Dr. Alicia Coonce is, by far, the best pediatrician I’ve taken my children to. She is energetic and fun, great with kids of all ages (I have a 15 year old and a 4 year old), and very thorough! She caught my preschooler’s mild scoliosis very early during a routine checkup. Their dental department is also one of the best I’ve experienced. The dentists are great, but the tech is fantastic! She is one of the sweetest ladies I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and she makes the kids feel so at ease. I would absolutely recommend this CHC to anyone looking for a pediatrician and/or pediatric dentist. You won’t be disappointed!

Dr. Coonce was exceptional, as was the nurse who took our intake form. Every question I had in regards to my newborn was answered clearly, concisely, and without hesitation. I never felt that I as being spoken down to, that my concerns were taken seriously, and that Dr. Coonce was very knowledgeable and attentive in her care. Our nurse (whose name I didn't manage to catch, unfortunately) was both very tender and quick when it came time for vaccination shots. I would highly recommend the pediatrics at this clinic; I'm very glad I came here and intend to have every following appointment made here moving forward.

if i could give this place negative stars i would. so unorganized and wait time is outrageous. my daughter was not able to see her brother in the NICU cause they had no records of her being seen there when we went to all her well checks when she was born. horrible customer service. way too big of a practice to offer proper customer service. i call my current pediatrician and get an answer right away. do not go here, please find somewhere else

Dr. Gonzalez and her team are the best. They’re always very nice and professional. The office is always clean and appointment are always scheduled in a timely manner.
