I had a lightening strike hit my home in July 2018, and it was almost a total loss. To top it off I had the worst general contractor. When I finally fired my contractor, the office personnel helped me with the paperwork to take over the project. The inspectors were absolutely wonderful in telling me what needed to be completed and helpful tips. They helped me tremendously and I appreciate them and the thankless job they go to daily.

Severe backlog due to inefficiency. Needed to travel from office to office over a 6 week time period for a simple window replacement permit...?! Neither online nor in person is there a written outline of steps to take. A new customer must keep asking ow what?\. Communication from this county government office comes under individual employee's names. Therefore if you find it necessary to recall a text or email sent to you, it's necessary to recall names such as Kristin, Sandy, Althea, etc. - not Lake County Gov. Or Permitting.
