Dr. Mayne is professional, thorough and shows she cares about me as a patient. I am so grateful to have found such a great doctor so soon after moving to the area. Also, the nurse, Tamara, was detailed and caring.

My daughter in law has been a patient for the term of her pregnancy. This office specifically Dr. Mayne has horrible. They do not care about their patients at all. Up until her last few weeks she has not had any issues with her pregnancy and has not bothered them with anything, but now that she has they just blow her off and show no kindness or compassion. She has needed to speak to the dr or a nurse on several occasions and their phones never work. You cannot reach them when you need to. During her latest appointment they blew her off when she asked for the results of the tests they made her go take. She asked the directly and nothing was addressed. When she got her bp checked it was really high. They did one recheck and it came in slightly lower. They said they needed to check it again but never did. I'm not sure why a doctor would practice in a field where they seem to hate their job.

I have been seeing Dr. Rogers at this office my whole adult life for my annuals. I love her and wish she would have delivered my son. That being said, I don't think I'll use this office for any future pregnancies. I feel like I was NEVER listened to during the whole experience. Like most OBGYNs (I assume) they are set in their ways and not open to a natural birth experience. I wanted to avoid many things that I did the research on and educated myself to make the decision to not participate. Unfortunately, Dr. Mayne was not on board with my decisions. She particularly did not like the fact that I had hired a Doula. I was TWO days late (according to my due date) and was told they needed to run tests to check up on my baby. I was made to lay on my side to run monitoring. My baby's heart rate apparently was showing drops that they believed we needed to induce labor. These drops never happened again when I was moved to a labor room and no longer laying on my side. Dr. Mayne broke my water and advised me we would see how I progressed and try to avoid pitocin. 3 hours later she was trying to push pitocin when I had contractions going just not strong ones. I had to stand my ground over SEVERAL talks with the nurse (never personally talked to Dr. Mayne during this process) to avoid the pictocin. Luckily, she backed off and my contractions increased and labor began. When it was timed to push, I was forced to lay on my back (I wanted to squat instead) and then was forced to get an episotomy (When i wanted to naturally tear). Unfortunately, I think Dr. Mayne is set in her ways and was opposed to any other kind of birth than the one she wanted. I just wish she had more consideration for the individuals wants. (Dont get my wrong - medical intervention can be necessary - which is why I went with an OB and wanted to be at a hospital - but I felt Dr. Mayne jumped to these interventions because \thats just the way its done\).
