Would not recommend going here. Was a lifelong customer until recently. Was sold a pair of skates that do not fit me properly. Spoke with the manger who wanted me to come and and get fitted in a pair of skates that don’t fit.I am now out 400.00 on a brand new pair of skates. It’s interesting to see the response now that a real review has been posted.

I'm a lifelong perani's guy. I went as a kid and now I take my 8 year old for equipment. We have bought numerous items and been properly fit each time. Most recently for my sons skates and goalie pads. Leg pads, skates, sticks, helmets, cup, and a few other things should be new when you buy them. Other items ill buy secondhand but when I need new hockey equipment this is where to go.
Amazing people, fair price, great at sharpening skates
What Happened To Good Customer Service and Making Things Right? I went into the Taylor location to pick up some gloves for my 11 year old son. He saw a stick that he wanted. An employee, with other employees around, said that if i waited until the next day, i could get it for 20% off. So i left it. I went to get it the next day and was told that the employee told me wrong. It wasn't 20% off. The manager, Jose' said the best he could do was 10% for the mistake, that his hands were tied, and even asked me if I saw HIS name on the door. Really? I told him I was a long time customer and he lost me over about 12. You can't tell me with all the sales that go through that store, he couldn't make it right by giving me the 20% that I was told in the first place. I guess I'll have to drive a further distance to purchase my son's hockey equipment at another chain. Very sad.
I went to the Livonia location looking to get a new pair of skates. The only skates I've ever owned were worn out hand-me-downs from my uncle that never fit right. They took a 3D scan of my foot and made a recommendation. They didn't have that skate in my size, so we tried a couple others. Nothing fit. They looked to see if another store had the skates that the scanner recommended and the Taylor location did. The Livonia location workers called ahead and had Taylor put the skates on hold for me. When I got there, I tried them on and much to my dismay they also did not fit. I was a little discouraged but the guys were awesome and asked me how I know that's my size skate. I told them the scanner told me. They said that might be the problem and measured my foot the old school way. Sure enough the scanner was trying to put me in a skate that was half a size too small and also too narrow. They brought out another kind of skate for me to try in the bigger size that they believed was right for me and it fit like a glove. Almost. The heel was a little tight but the worker helping me assured me that baking the skate would set the heel and 9 times out of 10 that works. It did exactly that and I walked out of there, for the first time in my 29 years on this earth, with a pair of skates that actually fit me. I'm so excited to get out on the ice in a day or two and try them out. Thank you so much to the team over at Perani Taylor for all your knowledge about skates and just hockey in general. I really enjoyed talking about the game and getting a lot of insider knowledge that will help with my first drop in game ever!
