Our absolute favourite restaurant in Te Anau. Initially we were planning to try out many different restaurants in town. But after having just one dinner at Ming Garden we were hooked. We ended up having all three dinners here and ordered some for takeaway. Service was 100% amazing I can't complement enough. The owner (gentleman) was funny, keeping us in check if we needed anything else and taking away plates whenever it was empty. He even topped up tea without even us requesting. Perfect service. Highly recommended.

This place is amazing!!! We got takeaways and aye by the water, it was so delicious that we will be back tomorrow night for sure. The service was great, it was very reasonably priced (especially compared to other options around) and the food came out quickly. Thank you Ming Garden Chinese Restaurant!!

Amazing meal. Highly recommend. Friendly manager, great food and great value. Sweet and sour pork and chilli chicken were great and tasty. They do takeaway as well. we would happily come back and try more of the menu

Food was very tasty. Service was slow but very friendly, but I think it was a bad night for them. Only seemed to be one person waiting tables, welcoming people, running the till.

Friendly staff, nice restaurant and atmosphere. The best hot and sour soup I’ve ever had. We also shared a hot and spicy chicken dish and fried rice, the portions are huge, hot and delicious!

We went there for dinner on our way to Milford Sound. So glad we did as we missed Chinese food for several days. Food taste very good and fresh, not too oily and even the tea taste good. Great to support local Te Anau business. Have a go, you won't be disappointed
