Sir Beard of the Shire

This place is incredible for the kids to let off unwanted energy and keep fit while putting a smile on their face and a sense of achievement. Easy to find, ample parking, friendly and energetic staff that make it look easy. Would recommend.

I'd love to give this 5 stars but I can't. There's a couple of reasons why and it has nothing to do with the recent scandal caused by one of the owners and the dodgy images found on his laptop. The main gripe for me is the lack of training given to the young staff. You can't replace them with older staff because it's a free running centre and people who have their heads full of experience also have their joints full of ground glass. The staff need to be young! Unfortunately youth comes hand in glove with arrogance and insensitivity, as my young son found out when he asked one of them to help him with something. He asked \Could you show how to do a back flip please?\ and the answer, which came accompanied with a sneer, was \Nah\. Said staff member then went back to playing with his mates. That's not a typing error either. He was supposed to be watching the entire centre and generally offering assistance where needed but he seemed to think that being on the payroll meant having free access to facilities to practice with his little clique. The place is closed at present due to some very severe problems created by one of the owners. Apparently he has now transferred ownership so I would expect the place to reopen before long. I hope that when they do they come back with a more professional approach and invest a little time teaching their staff members that they are there to serve the customer, not to enjoy a free ride. My rating is 3 stars. I think the facilities are good and the prices are reasonable too. Needs staff training to get it to 5 stars.

wanted our son to join the dance school a few year back all we got was he wouldn’t cope with him being autistic and with other things going in the same building wouldn’t cope how do they know that? Luckily kept him where he was and he’s thriving and doing well good job they turned us away really would have made a big mistake.

My boys both do the under tens Parkour and love it. It's a good balance of skills development and free time to practise what they've learned. Highly recommended.

Came to Team Katalyst for my brothers 16th birthday party really enjoyed my time here was awesome and i would recommend this to any parkour fans and will definantly be returning here again.
