The Islamic Revolution and Holy Defense Museum (Persian: موزه انقلاب اسلامی و دفاع مقدس\u200e, Muze-ye enghelab-e eslami ve defa'-e moghadas), located in Tehran on a landscaped site of 21 hectares, is one of the largest museums of Iran. It is dedicated to the Iran–Iraq War (1980–1988), the conflict known in Iran as "imposed war" or mainly "Holy Defense". The museum consists of different parts such as Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers, flag tower, open area and lake, Parking, conference halls,Khorramshahr Mosque, Library and Panorama museum. The main building of museum consists of 8 halls; each displays a specific concept of war through many monitors, video projectors, hologram showcases and some other modern technologies.

A beautiful place for a day out with the family, with real military equipment, increases the excitement of children and acquaints them with the past. Be sure to try once
One of the most "unique" museum in Tehran. Introduced history of Iran-Iraq war from the viewpoint of Iran. Amazingly sofisticated, somewhat infographic exbision you will see inside, while outside there are a lot of actual fighters, tanks, weapons used in the war (it's free to visit the garden only). If you are interested in war history and or military issues, this is absolutely "where you should go" spot. You can use subway from Central City, it is walking distance from station to the museum. I recommend.
Amazing display. Also the tomb of unknown soldier is here. Loved the museum. Great job.
its really amazing. you can visit this place and go back to 40 years back, walk in the road of that time, see, and find out hole Iran's holy defense
A large collection of pictures and videos of historical and political events from 1342- 1357(Pahlavi Period),eight years of Iran and Iraq war till now (Islamic Republic) and it's nuclear energy achievements. Sound effects of war in some parts of the museum seems like tunnel fear! Museum employees are very polite and helpful but some of them don't wear masks due to Corona Virus disease, unfortunately an old one was so talkative and didn't keep his distance from us.
One of the best museum I ve ever met in Iran. Very well designed and implemented. Staff are so professional, well educated, polite n kind. Mostly speak fluent english, you can see different aspect of war from tehran bombing till waling in Khorramshahr after occupied by Iraq. Defiantly one of recommended places in Tehran to spend some time there. There are god amount of parking spot around and so close to other places such as book garden and nature bridge (ab o atash park)
A great place to visit with so much to learn! It is very well made! I loved the cold and hot rooms experience! Great place in Tehran.
