Telefonkabl was established as the first company in Serbia dealing with Telecommunication Infrastructure design, building up and maintenance. Telefonkabl is the first company in Serbia to: • design and build up a fiber-optic cable Network in Serbia • design and build up a CATV Network in Serbia • provide CATV services as a CATV Network operator in Serbia • install and put into operation a mobile base station in Serbia Telefonkabl has: • installed over 75% of the total number of Serbia's access lines in the fixed network • built up more than 300 km of fiber-optic cable infrastructure In the early 1990s, Telefonkabl's Railway Systems Division was established. Ever since, Telefonkabl has been the most important Serbian company in field of design, building up and maintenance of Railway Signaling, Safety and Telecommunication Systems, as well as the unique Serbian company to conduct projects of this type which were financed by The European Investment Bank. In 2000, Telefonkabl extended its service portfolio to the field of design, installation, putting into operation and maintenance of Security Systems. In 2012, Telefonkabl started a new scope of activities – Services in the field of Medium and Low Voltage Power Networks.
