So good, we ate here twice. The tendon (tempura over a large bowl of rice (ten-tempura don-donburi)) is delicious with huge portions and super cheap. 1450 Yen for the food in the photo or about US13 plus tax. Good stuff...

Went there for dinner around 6pm and no line. Chose the deluxe dinner set and seafood with eel set. Both are absolutely delicious and fresh. Great and courteous service. Complimentary pickled veg are great and unique too. 2 dinner sets with beer came to around 3100 yen. Highly recommend.
We was heading to other restaurant but when we come across the entenece, we can resist and went it. Food and sauce is great!!! They have two type of shrimp. Be sure pick those wild one, 1490. The shrimp is more flavorable and more dense. Can easily tell the different. And it’s inexpensive, quality like this cost from less then a thousand yen. Defiantly great value for money. We were glad we passed by accidentally.
This is by far my favorite Tendon restaurant. I fell in love with it on exchange and it's great to come back and show my wife a little piece of my experience from when I lived in Kyoto. This place will always be my standard for how Tendon is made right.
Chanced upon this because of the queue but food here is amazing! Great to see how the cooks are like in action and food is not too greasy and tastes great!
