We did a one day trip to Tequila and this Tequilera was recommended for taking a tour. My husband and I had tour with CARLOS, who was really great! He did an amazing job! Very didactic an hands-on, it was in depth and personal. We highly recommend to take a tour here.

We took Superior Tours' Private Tour: Tequila Cultural Day Trip from Puerto Vallarta. Based on our date and time preferences, Astrid, with whom I booked the tour, recommended and reserved a private English language tour for us at La Cofradia. This is a beautiful property, including a bar/restaurant and hotel (there is an option to stay overnight-- which we did not) in addition to the distillery. We took a very informative and fun tour of the grounds, where we learned about the agave plant, the distilling process, how to drink tequila properly (legit!), and of course tasted several varieties. The most amazing part of the tour (aside from tasting the agave piña itself) was touring the facility where La Cofradia casts, fires, and hand paints the most beautiful bottles. They were so amazing we bought two (and some beautiful shot glasses) to display in our home as mementos of the trip. I would highly recommend visiting La Cofradia If you are in Puerto Vallarta or Guadalajara.
Nice small production location that offers a more hands on tour. Its also nice to be able to take pictures of the entire process. I found it interesting that the cost of the bottles was more than the cost of the tequila inside them lol This is not a rushed tour and i found it very emjoyable.
We visited and thoroughly enjoyed the entire tour and sampling of the tequila. The education on the How they make it from plant to bottle was cool. Can’t say say enough about our guide and of course the tequila. The tequila to me had a smokey, yet smooth finish. Don’t miss out getting photos of the Catriñas that they have in the bar. Salud.....
