After happening upon Cachacaria Imbauba, up the road from Rancho Sabor Da Roca, they recommended Rancho Sabor Da Roca for lunch. Unfortunately, they require advance notice for lunch but the owners warmly welcomed us and gave us a tour of their ranch and samples of their beer and produce. I'm not much of a beer drinker but I found their stout to be much smoother than any stout I've had and their beer flavored with Orange from the ranch was even better. The kumquats were the best I've ever had. I'll easily go back to enjoy the idyllic setting and see what magic they work with their local ingredients. Coupled with a tour of the Cachacaria made for a wonderful, memorable day. They recommended a nearby Pousada which I forget the name of. If you are planning an overnight visit to the area I recommend asking them about it when you call to schedule a visit. I was fortunate to have Brazilians in my group who could translate for me. I'm not sure if they are able to offer tours in other languages.

Lugar maravilhoso! O casal recebe os clientes com muita generosidade e empatia. Sem contar o almoço de comida caseira e super saudável, como verduras e legumes sem agrotóxico, galinha caipira, sucos naturais. Já é a minha segunda vez e recomendo muito para quem não conhece.
