As a countryside traditional finnish mansion, it has surprisingly modern and tasty food. Fish in different ways from balsamico pike to marinated pike perch(zander), unusual in Finland. Still the king is vendace (muikku in Finnish) with a twist of tar. Place is definitely worth the 30 min drive from Tampere.

Maisa is a great restaurant in Teisko 25 kilometers from Tampere. The sunday brunch includes 8 fish foods wich are made from the local fishes and 4 meat dishes. Cold smoked pike, lime smallfishes, dijon pikeperch and so on are the great fish foods. This place is really worth to visit at summer time. Normally you have to book the sunday brunch on saturday.
Just one word: fantastic. We had the cabin by the lake reserved for us. It has a sauna and one can jump in the lake after the sauna. Food was delicious, from the "snacks" when we arrived, to the appetizers, main course and dessert. I've never had such a tasty smoked salmon. Great variety of fish prepared in many different ways. Beef was also delicious. I'd definitely go back.
We had lunch at the terrace, the food was tasty and the weather was wonderful. Service was on the slow side but apt and friendly. We enjoyed the view of the garden and the lake.

Extraordinary food in a nice countryside location. Meat's tenderness here is indescribable.
クリスマスケータリングを食べたのですが最高でした。うますぎて食べてる間ずっと笑顔でした。スモークされた料理とか最高でした。どれもこれもが美味しいです。 ワインに合いますね。
Todella hyvää ruokaa. Kalapainotteinen. Hyvä ja kattava brunssi... lämpimän ruuan liha suussa sulavaa. Nam! Tänne kannattaa tulla kauempaakin. Suosittelen lämpimästi.
