Lovely old Cotswold stone house going back centuries, very warm welcome from family member George would gave us a fascinating tour of the house, garden and chapel and lifetime history of the place. This house has been used for many films and most recently Poldark and Wolf Hall. Stunning views from the garden over the surrounding countryside. Don’t forget tea and cakes are available in the ballroom.

George, the present owners son gave a very informative and enjoyable tour. Not only did he give the past history of the house but brought in more resent history.

Awesome manor! . its like going back in time! And a chapel to look around to , with a true ghost story , amazing views of the grounds/Garden ! The house is where they filmed poldark! And a few other programs! Well worth a visit!,

An absorbing, fascinating Elizabethan house lived in and loved by the extended family whose home it has been for centuries and who seem to delight in sharing a glimpse with visitors

Went because of the poldark connection. But this house is so much more. Guided tour from a family member, funny, informative, interesting! You can sit on all the old furniture, not at all like national trust where everything is roped off or please do not touch signs.... refreshing history

Great entertaining stories about the rich history of the estate by the owners themselves.
