The Thai Family is a great restaurant with great facilities, very nice service and fantastic food. The dishes are extremely fresh. Obviously high quality spices and ingredients are used. We had the soup as starters, which alone would be worth coming back. Then came the main courses, which were simply a dream. Everything was very lovingly and authentically prepared.

So we were there unannounced and could only have booked a place until 8pm. We were then offered a nice place on the ground floor, where we could eat without a time limit. The dining room is not very large, but not too loud when fully occupied. The Thai Family is a great restaurant with great facilities, very nice service and fantastic food. Excellent noodles, outstandingly tasty red curry and heart warming ambiente. Service is great. It is very small so reserve a table in advance.
Hands down the most authentic Thai food in town. The atmosphere is as awesome as the food, and the staff are even better.
Thai Family is my favorite Thai in Basel. Their Phanang/Massaman duck is unbelievably delicious and not expensive at all.
