I gave this company a call obout a burst water pipe and a central heating system that is not working with three young kids in the house and the emergency number a guy called Steve that is absolutely useless was being sarcastic on the phone did not help or did not care the kids were left freezing and no way washing. Disgusting!!!

On first impressions the staff at the accommodation shop are happy, friendly and very eager for your custom but do not be fooled because as soon as you sign a tenancy agreement with them that all stops. I rented with them and I am so glad to be out of there. They failed to inform me of an extreme infestation of mice the property had, the black mould growing throughout they had briefly covered with a coat of paint rather than trying to fix, the holes in the walls and the faulty boiler. All of which I reported and nothing was ever done. I was left through the cold with 3 infants without a working boiler for nearly a week and without an oven for over a week - I even had to chase these queries. I always paid my rent on time, I always looked after the property and I always made sure to be a good tenant. My inventory from moving in stated how dirty, grubby and poorly looked after the property was but I was desperate. I returned the house in a much better condition - including having it professionally cleaned costing me 140 alone. They have since told me the whole house needs redecorating (after telling me it doesn't and were happy with the few minor things that were discussed and I agreed to) and are trying to take my deposit off of me because I have left the property giving them only 1 months notice (as required) just before Christmas. I was warned by another previous tenant of theirs to avoid them and I wish I listened. AVOID THIS COMPANY. They are rude on the phone, rude in person - swearing and cussing when they aren't happy and will do anything to get money out of you. DO NOT RENT WITH THIS LETTING AGENTS. There is never anybody in the office despite the hours they state the work - they definitely don't and do not expect regular communication as they do not return calls or emails very promptly at all.

The Accomodation Shop managed a property for me from 2005 until June 2018 when I eventually decided to sell it. As I lived in Asia they provided a full management service for me and throughout the period they have found me good, reliable tenants, ensured all issues are raised quickly and dealt with efficiently, keep extremely good records and have always been helpful in answering any queries that I have had. Given the service they provided for me I also think their fees were very reasonable. I'd certainly use them again.
