Excellent place to eat. Right in the square. Great varied menu with daily specials. I had the open prawn sandwich on brown bread. Spectacular. Very friendly staff. Very COVID compliment. Definitely be back.

Awesome The butter bean is one of my favourite restaurants ever. I love their burgers and the staff are always nice. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to have a nice meal or lunch.
Food was fabulous. The staff were extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. Ate there (2 adults and 2 children) 4 evenings out of our 5 night stay in Carndonagh as there was a great menu with plenty of choice (although the kids were hooked on those toffee sundaes!) We felt extremely safe and all guidelines were followed perfectly by staff (but in a very discreet fashion). Highly recommend this restaurant.
Beef Strogonoff appeared to be cuts of cold, roast beef?? swimming in a very creamy sauce, needed a spoon to eat it. We picked out the bits of beef, and mushrooms, with the knife and fork provided. Nice Friendly staff.
Great food and service. We were a party of ten and everyone enjoyed their meal.

This place is fantastic! We have been visiting Inishowen for years and we always return here. The recent measures put in place to protect from covid made us all feel so safe. The food is wonderful! Our mother is gluten and dairy free and this is the only place far and wide where she can have a 3 course meal! And it was delicious. Everyone who works at the Butterbean is kind and friendly and they treat us as old friends. Thanks very much!
