Very nice environment to eat in and great location right in the centre of Howden, however the food quality did not match the initial positive first impressions. We had 3 different meals - an omelette, quiche and toasty. The toasty was the thinnest I’ve ever seen with hardly any filling. The omelette was not authentic - had the consistency of something microwaved or processed / pre- packed and the quiche was tiny. So not grear value. Perhaps we made the wrong choices but with 3 meals we may have reasonably expected to get one of them decent !

Unbelievably slow, unpleasant staff. After the half hour wait for 3 teas, 1 coffee and 3 scones 1 scone never appeared and neither did the jam. Keeping my cool by then after asking for the missing part of the order. Lady who I presumed to be either owner or in charge whinging about the eat out to help out and how busy they were. Too busy asking the very young inexperienced staff if they knew what the plan was, couldn't recommend this cafe.
