A lovely old 1930's cinema that has been sympathetically restored to its former glory. It now hosts shows, bands and of course...films. Really nice.

Went to The Deco for the 2and year to watch the panto. This time it was Sleeping Beauty. Safety features put in place to ensure the safety of all. Very good panto considering it had to be socially distanced. 100years of music and lots of laughs. Very impressed you continued with the show and followed the motto 'the show must go on' as our Father Christmas was cancelled, however the panto went on. Can't wait for next year.
Seats are comfortable and viewing is good at the Deco. This building was opened in 1935 as cinema and theatre. It closed its doors in the 1990s and later recorded as the Deco and Jesus Army Centre. It had some famous people visit while it was open including The Rolling Stones and The Beatles.
Great night at the Deco Pantomime, even with the social distancing. The cleanliness of the theatre was exceptional, the staff were friendly and the performance was outstanding. Hats off to you for managing to put a bit of magic back in to Christmas at the end of such a horrible year. Thank you, the kids and I really enjoyed the performance. See you at next year's pantomime and I'll be checking out what other shows you have on during the year
Nostalgia and spacious main Auditorium, with accessible viewing places. However the lack of wc facilities for this type of capacity has brought down the rating. The website has tried its best to help people understand how much of the stage is viewable, but could be better portrayed with photos from different zones of the auditorium, including the lower level. The food offered was all junk and some healthy options are really needed. Even though it is entertainment, it doesn't mean people don't want healthy snacks. The entrance is the only place where people can smoke and the entrance is in a tunnel, hence the smoke carries in, and better planning is needed.
