Good food but there were aspects of my visit that could be improved on. The restroom is located just outside the restaurant, in an open courtyard and does not seem to lock. Go with a buddy to guard the door while you do your business. I was also disappointed right away when I inquired about happy hour specials. I was informed by our waiter that the restaurant does not do happy hour anymore. However, it is still advertised on their website. I emailed The Dumb Coq to let them know about this discrepancy in their advertising and what is actually available. Lastly, I was just slightly overcharged for a menu item. My waiter was very prompt and friendly and made the correction when I pointed it out. It's these little aspects that could be improved on for a better visit next time, if I do decide to visit again.

I'm a vegetarian, so not a lot of menu choices, but service is attentive & fast. I had the tofu taco appetizer and it was good. Parking downtown is a pain in the butt, but that's not the restaurants fault. If you are a meat eater, I'm sure you would enjoy the food and drinks.
A very well decorated resturant matches the exterior building.. This place has a very open feel and a modern big city feel to it.. Do not be surprised when most of the items on the menu contain chicken! The pork belly sliders taste a little bit like thick cut bacon and they are a little bit greasy. Mussels and fries are delicious. You can dip or stop the fries in the sauce and that just adds a whole new flavor to it. If you are going to order a sandwich then you might have an overload of fries. So just make sure whoever you're with really likes to eat fries.
Service is fast and friendly. Had the po boy sliders. The new sauce is amazing. Entree was the TDC burger with the egg. Amazing flavor! Will be back for sure.
We were one of two tables in the whole restaurant but I had to ask the waiter to fill my water three times. He was on his phone the whole time. And they put mozzarella on their "famous" French onion soup even though they use gruyere on other things on the menu!!
We've been to the Dumb Coq several times. The food and cocktails are good, and they have a great Chinatown location. This is a good place to go.
Good spot near downtown. Guys that run the bar are pretty cool.
The lady bartender is just not there. But the atmosphere and music was still good.
