Went here for lunch on a busy Saturday. Despite not having a booking they were very helpful and we managed to get a table. Our drink order was taken and we chose our meals. There was a good selection on the menu. I decided on the Caribbean chicken with salad with a side order of homemade chips for me and my partner had the steak and ale pie. This came with potatoes or chips. As can be seen by the photos both meals were substantial. My partner was very pleased with the steak and ale pie and said that the steak melted in her mouth and I really enjoyed the Caribbean chicken with its breadcrumb coating. We would have stayed for dessert as we saw some being taken to other tables and they looked well worth having however we felt quite full so hopefully next time. We were made to feel very welcome and will definitely return.

Oh wow what a pub! This is a stunning pub and must be visited if you are in the area, the food is amazing and the beer is outstanding, a lovely family run pub in a beautiful village. The landlord Mark is a legend! He and his team cannot do enough for you im so grateful! Cannot wait to return! The pub is so beautiful you will not find many like this i guarantee
Well worth a visit, been going for over 30 years. Reception is friendly and warming, seated with a welcome, drinks first and foremost, time to read the menu, guidance through the food ordering process and nothing a problem. Not rushed, not pushed, excellent evening and all in our party left full and relaxed. Safety is forefront and not imposing. Accessible to all and we'll go back as we have done over the years.
Terrible service, sat down at 7pm, on ordering the sharing boards we'd miss read the menu and needed to choose options, the waitress then went away and didn't come back until 8.15pm to tell us the kitchen can't take our order as it has too many and we'll have to wait a little longer. Finally ordered at 8.30pm, didn't bother with starters as we had to vacate by 10pm. I had the lamb rump served pink, when it came out it was not pink and the vegetables were overcooked.
Quite a lot of the menu options were not available on the day of our visit. But our second choices for starter and main were both delicious. Lovely atmosphere.
