What a fantastic little place! I loved the wide variety of unique flavors (heather, basil, carrot, and beet, to name just a few) that are all tasty with vastly different flavor profiles. Service is personable and top-notch, and the overall atmosphere is a ton of fun with a fun crowd. There is also a fabulous selection of board games and some terrific karaoke on Thursdays. I'll be back next time I'm in Wyo!

How to start with a place as magical and unique as the Great Untamed. First with the proprietor, Scott is one of the most causal and charming people you'll ever meet and with a passion for a great glass of mead to boot. What is mead? Well to be honest it doesn't matter Scott will explain it to you over a 3-7 dollar glass of some delicious booze. Pros: Cheep Booze Delicious mead (And I mean some of the best I've ever had) Great conversation Cons: A little dark You might get sucked into playing a nerdy Board game (OH NO!) Signed: A patron
Scott! (The owner) is great! And brews some amazing drinks!
Seriously my favorite mead. Perfect- not too sweet and not too dry. Pricing is more than fair at 5/glass (and take a bottle home for 13!) and the atmosphere is calm and laid back. The Great Untamed is a must visit!
Scott is a friendly guy who creates a wide variety of mead he has something for everyone
Fun spot for mead and country wines. Game night is a hoot. Friendly people make you feel at home.
I'd never been introduced to mead, then I met Scott behind the bar at The Great Untamed. Now we arrive in Laramie with TWO missions. Buy a case of Persephone, and try something new. He was out of Persephone, so we walked out with five bottles of Diana. Almost as happy...
the feeling this place gives me a better feeling than the feeling i had when my dad finally messaged me on facebook. he abandoned our family when i was 3, and i always wondered if he really loved me or if he ever really loved my mom. and it was amazing when i finally heard from him at the age of 32. but this place... is even better than that.
