If you are looking for an exceptional guitar instructor, Jim at The Guitar Academy is your guy!! Jim taught 3 of my adult children to play guitar; and after being witness to their successes, I was recently inspired to take lessons myself. I have never played any kind of instrument, so I’m excited and encouraged by the progress I’ve made with Jim in such a very short time. I definitely recommend Jim no matter your skill level!!!

Although I am heavy into the metal genre, Jim shows me the importance of learning other styles in order to become a more well-rounded musician. My 10 year old daughter has had a couple guitar teachers and she absolutely loves Jim from the guitar academy. She has advanced much more quickly since going to the guitar academy. Jim is very encouraging and my daughter and him spend a lot of time laughing and having fun during the lessons. I sit in the same room as them as they practice and Jim takes the time to explain to me what to focus on week to week while listening to her practice at home..
