Sue amd Daniel, in the SSA disability benefits dept, really know their stuff. They spent the time necessary in walking me through a very complicated procedure to get approved. In two months, I was approved...with one year's back pay, a nice surprise.

The reason I give them two stars is they lack services. I had been a client for 5 years and went faithfully to the support group. Now that they said I have disruptive behavior and they also lack on thing. They do not have credentials to support the organizations because they do not show bio and what they do to help clients with. They also implemented new policy to limit occurrences of the clients. They are supportive but they lack is their credentials.

The Independence Center is the local home of civil rights for people with a wide range of \disabilities.\ TIC offers many services, ranging from housing, home care, to employment. These invaluable services range from providing peer support, skills classes, and employment assistance and advocacy to affect change within the disabilities system through public education and advocacy. There is a also a sustained effort to build capacity for affordable and accessible housing. Working with people with disabilities, their families and the community, TIC creates independence, so that all may thrive. Like my precious son with Down syndrome. TIC helps in building relationships and trust between service providers and housing providers. They also assist in integrating affordable housing units with market-rate housing. Increase staff and availability of Code Enforcement Officers. These resources adequately fulfill the needs in the Pikes Peak Region. We have been honored to be a part of TIC.
