The Lakes at Litchfield has done an incredible job of taking care of their residents during the Pandemic. The staff has provided a lot of fun activities and delicious meals. Even though families haven’t been able to visit, the Lakes staff has been family to the residents. We’ve been so impressed with how they have communicated every week to family members to let them know what is going on. They also did a great job of getting the residents vaccinated as soon as the vaccine was available. Residents and family members have been blessed by the care given by the Lakes.

My mother received excellent care in the skilled nursing area at The Lakes. Her social worker was extremely instrumental in assisting with the transition to home. She worked with the insurance to secure all the necessary medical equipment required for our home. She arranged for Home Health Services to provide nursing, physical therapy and occupational therapy. My mother received the Covid 19 vaccination during her stay. The doctor and physician assistant made sure my mother was progressing and received the proper medications to aide in her recovery. Her nurses were attentive and caring and provided clear updates. The aides checked on her regularly and helped with daily needs. Her physical therapist and occupational therapist expertly assessed and monitored her progress. She thoroughly enjoyed the chef prepared meals. Everyone at The Lakes displayed a caring, helpful, professional attitude and disposition. I highly recommend The Lakes at Litchfield.

The Lakes Memory Care section is the most loving place you could ever have to place a loved one! Our loved one is being cared for in every way possible there. From the wonderful and loving nursing staff led by Tammy to the awesome activities led by Jackie Reynolds and Gemayal to the care given by everyone there. Each and every staff member knows, talks to, and spends time with our loved one. During this awful pandemic when we have only been allowed window visits the staff is there to help in every way and even to hug our loved one for us! We couldn’t have asked for a better place! ️ Thank you staff!

My wife and I are independent Living residents here at The Lakes at Litchfield. Proper name is Lakes at Litchfield Pawleys Island Senior Living and a Continuum of Care Services. I am posting this because I want to publicly Thank and give Kudos to our Leadership and Staff for one of the many things they do to make this a special place to live, be cared for and enjoy. The family of one of our married couple friends here found it necessary to have the wife move over to on site Memory Care. This of course was very difficult for family and our fellow / friend resident couple. However, the Leadership and Staff have really gone \above and beyond\ to help them make the transition / adjustment better than anyone could expect. No detail, as this is a sensitive matter. OTHER COMMENTS ABOUT OUR HOME CAMPUS Apartments are apartments, houses are houses, dining rooms are dining rooms etc but here at The Lakes at Litchfield the most special difference is GREAT CARE, SUPER CARING ATTITUDE AND THE BIG HEARTS AMONG LEADERSHIP, STAFF AND RESIDENTS. Having said \dining rooms are dining rooms\ our food quality is Fantastic Residents really care about and for each other here. While the facility is nice and the food outstanding, it is the heartfelt care and caring attitude and action of residents and Lakes Leadership and Staff that makes our Campus so great. TO BE INTENTIONALLY TRITE; Here at the Lakes, we not only \TALK THE TALK\ but we \WALK THE WALK

I recently had the chance to visit friends who live at The Lakes at Litchfield in Pawleys Island. They live independently in a home, but he was in rehab there and I went to support her. What a lovely community all around - I was pleasantly surprised. My friends have a beautiful home and lots of neighbors whom they have become friends with and seem to be enjoying themselves very much. What I was most impressed with on my visit was the staff. Although I was not able to visit my friend's husband in rehab, the staff knew my girlfriend very well and treated her like family. They were concerned and very kind. She was very pleased with his care and said that everyone was very helpful . Another thing that struck me about The Lakes at Litchfield was not just the staff (because they knew all the residents by name and greeted them warmly), but that all the residents had smile on their faces - everyone was very happy. I was introduced to many residents, and all of them remarked on how happy they are living at The Lakes at Litchfield - I never solicited them about their lives there. If all these residents can be that satisfied, I thought this must be a wonderful place to live. I intend to visit again when my friend's husband has returned home, and when I can dine in their dining room. I would most definitely recommend this community, and will consider it myself one day when I think about my own retirement.
