I was contacted by the council recently. I felt that I had the space to articulate my thoughts and concerns regarding my ex. I felt safe in articulating all that I needed to and felt that my decision was respected.

The receptionist was very rude, spoke over me and was not proffesional at all. I would NOT recommend this place at all and would like to tell people to stay away from them. The lady actually hung up the phone over me when I was speaking to her rather calmly.

I paid 275 fees for Khula application and never got around to apply. Trying for last 2 months to get refund but no luck,no response to multiple emails and no one picks up phone. Since putting this review,I actually had full refund of my money, thank you

To be honest I wouldn’t even give them 1 star, terrible service ever, I’ve wanted to get my khula done and since I’ve already got my divorce through the courts thought it would be easier...I’m still waiting I’ve paid and I haven’t even got a confirmation or references number, once I finally get through after 100 times trying I get passed around or someone always new is on the reception desk...and I’m still waiting it’s been 6 months and I have no clue...this is SO BAD!! You should be ashamed of yourself!!!!!

I applied for a divorce and decided to get back with my husband but after three months it didn't work so I rang the council back up and they said I gotta pay another 600 to start again. Which Islam and common sense do these guys follow. I have to pay again Ifdecide to reconcile with my husband and work my marriage. The whole point of a shariah law council is to attempt to get couples back with each other not to take 600 and finish it in 6 weeks with trying to reconcile. I then contacted Birmingham who weren't keen to help until I spoke to a Moulana at the Bradford shariah office. They helped me get my divorce and did all my paperwork for me. They were slightly pricey than the others but offered professional services and helped me so much and respected me so much I felt as though they were my brothers helping me. If it wasnt for them Id have to pay 600 again. Shame on such people what will they say in the court of Allah almighty
