I'm so glad we had Stephanie on the birth of our second baby. Stephanie is super experienced, wise and respectful. I had a very long and hard labor and I can't imagine going through what I did without her support, her kind words, her comfort touch and her presence. The best thing about having such an amazing and experienced doula like Stephanie is that you don't even need to think of what you need or what could be helpful, she just knows what to do. It was almost as if I new Stephanie from a long time, that's how comfortable and confident she made me feel. Stephanie was also my lactation consultant and made my nursing journey so much easier.

Stephanie is an incredibly talented, intelligent and experienced Doula, it has been an absolute pleasure taking her classes and doing one on one virtual sessions with her! I feel so calm and prepared going into labor, and have learned more than I could have ever imagined about labor, delivery, breathwork, and what to expect. Stephanie is supportive, patient, professional and her level of skill and expertise is incomparable, I feel like I'm in such wonderful hands with Stephanie! Highly recommend!!!
If could give 10 stars, I would. Stephanie was a dream come true because she solved a breastfeeding problem I thought would never work out. Immediately after delivery, my full term newborn was unexpectedly sent to the NICU for two days where she was given a bottle. When we brought her home, she adamantly refused the breast. We continued to give her the bottle for seven more days before Stephanie bravely (during times of Covid) came for a home visit and gave us a step-by-step program to get my daughter off the bottle. Her explantations were thorough. She took meticulous notes and responded readily to text messages. In just 1 week, I was able to nurse my baby as I dreamed. Stephanie's patience, professionalism, and encouragement is what got us over the difficult hurdle of kicking the bottle. I highly recommend Stephanie to anyone who is looking for an expert in the field. Best decision ever!
For me as a first time mom, being 6000km away from home and not being able to get help from any family members because of the world wide pandemic, Stephanie and Alice were a real gift. They are very experienced doulas with an incredible knowledge. They answered every question I had quickly and their advice has been incredibly valuable. I felt so comfortable having them at my side before, during and after giving birth - so was my husband. The advices they gave us, the emotional support they provided and the love they offer is simply mind-blowing. As a first time mom I was scared of going into labor but both of them managed to calm me down and to make me think nothing but positive about the upcoming birth experience. Having a doula like Stephanie or Alice accompanying you through delivery is priceless. It is probably common for first time parents to underestimate the time after giving birth. We had tons of questions and Stephanie and Alice responded right away and very helpful! We would choose them every time and absolutely recommend both of them.
Working with Stephanie and The New York Doula was a dream. Stephanie was prompt and responsive; and, she was extremely understanding and flexible in working with me and my FSA-imposed guidelines. Before finding The New York Doula, I was about to sign a contract with another agency when the doulas we chose decided upon only virtual work--certainly understandable in the age of Covid. But, as first time parents who don't live near family, we were really looking for in-person support. We are really happy that we made the decision to have a post partum doula; and, we are especially happy we chose Nadine. Not only is she knowledgeable, she also is so intuitive and such a joy to be around. I really appreciated knowing I could depend on reaching out to her both during our visits and via phone and text. She was incredibly responsive; and her intuition lies beyond her profound knowledge of babies, too. She was able to understand me and my personality almost immediately, as well as my husband's. So, she really seemed in tune in knowing what kind of suggestions would work for us in particular. Her recommendations were tailored towards our personalities, as mentioned, but also our lifestyle. And, when she did recommend an item, she gave us suggestions for ones to purchase and \hacks\ created from things one could find around the apartment that would suit the same purpose. We appreciate so much of what she did; and, a few highlights include her help in giving us suggestions for daily routines around bath time as well as all the help she gave me with baby carriers. It was also just a real joy chatting with her. Our three hours always flew by!
