We had a lovely hour here today, the food was 10/10 and piping hot. Tasha was our waitress and she was very polite and patient with our order! Overall a pleasant afternoon here and covid safe with measures in place. Thankyou xx

I and family and friends have been going to the Plantation Restaurant as regulars for a couple of years and have always felt totally relaxed. Food lovely, service very good and staff lovely. This hasn't changed but extremely unhappy with bill today. First day of restaurant reopening since lockdown. We always get an extra pot of hot water when we order our tea and today we were charged 1.50 for the privilege. When I questioned this I was told that this was their new policy as they had extra work to do. We were also charged for drinks which were supposed to have been included with the cream tea. We were charged for the cream teas and then the drinks were added on. I got a refund of 5.39 back onto my card but if I hadn't checked the bill that would have been an extra for them as well as the 1.50 for the hot water (which still stands as it is their policy but we were not told when we ordered) and the 6 tip we put in the tip tin between the three of us before we'd checked the bill. We as customers are not responsible for Covid and should not have to pay 1 50 for a pot of hot water. Also check your bill if you go as many people don't. Not happy at all.
Had a booking, got there and got told that people where still in the seats and they couldn't just tell them to move, even tho they had been there 90 minutes, so didnt get my seat and got told no point in waiting
Come here regularly for breakfasts. The majority of it is nice, but the bacon has come out sometimes both undercooked and very greasy. Due to the open plan style of the restaurant, it can become very noisy during busy periods
