It's an interesting place. We went here for a plant night. The facility seems appropriate for this purpose. They had a very interesting looking indoor entertainment street that you would expect in St Charles. The drink prices were at City level though and drinks were served in single use plastic cups, which is surprising considering the high price and the environment.

Short course. Plenty of trees. Water is easy enough to avoid. 1/3 of the holes have water in some way along the hole. Driving range and practice putting green are a little too far from the 1st hole. The halfway house and beer cart were not in operation on the day we played. So plan ahead and bring something just in case.

If you're going to stay here, book a room in the tower. We rented a golf room and it smelled like it had been flooded and not properly cleaned. We were killing flies and gnats within the first few minutes of being there. We complained within 10 minutes and were given a tower room which was so much nicer. (The staff was very nice.) My husband was upset because none of the movie channels worked, but we weren't there to watch tv. There was a "bonfire" for toasting marshmallows or just hanging out. There was a luau at the outdoor pool, a BBQ on the terrace, live music at night on Bourbon Street which was supposed to be 21 and over but kids were running all over the place which pretty much ruined it for us and we left before it ended. There was movie night in the atrium. The fish fry at Jambalaya was delicious and fresh, it came with a nice salad bar. If you play golf the grounds are beautiful. Overall it was a good time with plenty more activities and restaurants than I mentioned here.

Here's the deal.....I am giving four stars for two reasons. Sadly, I have come to find out that Pheasant Run is on the brink of closure. As such, my first reason is out of nostalgia. I am here in the last full service weekend. I have visited this place for over 25 years and had many memories in my 20's. It's so bittersweet to revisit at the 11th hour. The second reason is that the staff, like always is just as nice as can be. I wish there was some way if bailing this place out and restoring it to its full glory.

It was a great place for the kids to do on Christmas break.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Areas of the property are in need of a little "TLC", not bad enough to ruin my stay experience. Attended a conference there and stayed three nights, got a good nights sleep. The food there was well portioned and REALLY tasty. The family joined me and enjoyed the pool and shops on property while I was busy with my conference.. Looking forward to returning next year for my conference and stay at this property.

I didn't stay at the hotel, just attended the trade show. I know this place has been sold and I hope they put some money into it. I stepped into the kitchen area located between the ball room and the pool. There were cockroaches walking all over the walls and the roof was leaking like I have never seen. I hope that this kitchen has not been in use for a while. I hope to see the changes that the new ownership makes.
