Never has a bad expeience at the Savoy. Shame they are struggling as many other theatres are. Historic old theatre kept going by donations and volunteers. Okay problems during the break with the loos ques. But excused being the age the place is so no major issue just patience required. Monmouth itself being a nice old town to visit. With some decent restaurants and your usual coffee places. Visit the Savoy if you can and I hope you enjoy.

Love this little retro hideaway! It's perfect for a cosy evening watching a film. It's surprisingly quiet too and, in turn, very reasonably priced. It's our new go-to cinema, even if we have to wait a while to see what we want.

Gave it only 4 stars as I didn't go inside due to it being closed...hopefully those that have...will give it a 5...as I feel all entertainment venues need to be supported.

Brilliant little theatre run by volunteers but you wouldn't know that. Friendly, professional and some of the comedy acts they get there are fantastic. It really punches above its weight in attracting some of the big names. Film nights are also great as are the live performances. A real gem of a place. Rarely does a month go by without me visiting.

Characterful theatre with amazing toilets. Friendly staff with a simple bar and snacks to purchase. Comfortable seats and intimate. We went to listen to Griff Rhys Jones with friends, great night out.
