Bill Shields Law firm is the best law firm I have ever used.Mr.Shields is so knowledgeable on every topic presented to him. He helped me and my family get what I deserved when I was in a auto accident several years ago.He also years later was extremely open to fight for me regarding issues with the long term disability carrier. The entire firm was and is so professional, and is all ways willing to help, no matter what they had going on. I will always use this law firm.Thank you all for all you have done for me. From the very early stages of my case, it was apparent that Mr. Shields cared and strived to seek justice for the wrongdoing against me; while additionally trying to prevent further wrongdoing by the offenders. At this time, my case is still ongoing, but regardless of the final outcome, I know Mr. Shields will do what he can to obtain justice. He does care for his clients and has a true heart for justice. And regarding some of the financial concerns of some other reviewers...lawsuits are expensive by any count , regardless of lawyer used. Indeed, I was not truly prepared for some of the expenses. Ask questions. Make sure you understand what all the charges are going to be or at least what they could be. This will give you an idea. But final cost will depend on your case, it's details, and how far you can get. Weight that against what you might receive. That way, you at least have an idea if it might be worth it.

I called numerous law firms in Richmond and surrounding areas regarding my potential suit against and area podiatrist. These Five-minute (or less) phone conversations yielded the same result--conflict of interest and/ or the case was not financially significant to pursue. Attorney Shields provided me with an insightful, straight-forward, uninterrupted, 30-minute consultation with no fee attached. What more could you ask for?? Thank you, Attorney Shields!!

The Shields law firm has assisted me twice. The first instance was turned down by another firm, but Mr. Shields stepped up and the case ended with a positive settlement. The second time also yielded a positive outcome. They are fair and honest, plus capable of handling the situation independently without your constant input. I gave 4 stars due to the length of time it requires and the size of the settlements, however, this could be due to the legal system moving slow and the way settlements are prevalent in todays society. Overall, I recommend them and would employ them again if the need ever arises.

I in no way hold any ill will, nor do I think that this law firm is incompetent in the court. that said, I met with them months ago about my case and they agreed to take it on. The last I had heard from them was on August 23rd. They asked for some things from me as well as this "To that end, the filing fee and service of process fee for this case will probably be about 500.00, which you will need to advance.". I had replied with documents they asked for and asked what exactly the next step was. I had no response until October when they said I did not ever respond, to which point I showed that I did. they said I never gave them any money, which is true. I had asked what they actually needed and not a probably. This brings it to today. They just emailed me back saying they will not represent me. They tried to make it a point that the money was to file and not to pay them. I never contested that, I had just asked to know what they needed instead of "it will probably be ___". So I have waited for months and did not seek further council to find myself treated this way. It is not professional. It is pretty rude. I believed Bill to be a good man during our meeting, confident in his abilities. I can't speak further due to the lack of professionalism before ever getting into the actual law aspects. As a business owner, I've learned to be clear and concise with clients. I wish I was treated the same.
