I'm not the kind of person to write a review. I'm too busy and lazy to return most things I'm unhappy with, don't mention spend the time to write a review. However, I'll make an exception for The Sill. I'm a solo mom. I support myself, my son and my mother as a local school teacher. I live in Vermont where the sun doesn't shine for 6 months and I needed some greenery to lift my spirits. I have a terrible green thumb and decided to treat myself to some beautiful faux plants with my stimulus money. If I haven't made it clear yet, this was a really big purchase for me. I have never considered spending this amount of money on fake plants, but I took the plunge trusting this company wouldn't do me wrong. I received the plants and am so, incredibly disappointed. The nicest thing about it is the plant pot. It looks so cheap, I could have found a nicer one at Walmart. I can't imagine charging 85 for this thing. The worst part is, I haven't heard back from anyone since my complaint! Very unsatisfied.

The people working were knowledgeable and answered all my questions. They provide care cards and explain available resources. They have a wide variety of plants but only wish they had another store in DC. I bought a string of pearls and planter and they repotted it, which took the stress out of having to do that later. They also put the plants in boxes to ensure they didn’t get cold. I appreciate these details. I’ll be back

I received a “large” monstera as a birthday gift here, and I was so disappointed by the quality of the plant. It almost looked like they shipped me the plant that was left in the back of the store for months without attention. There was dust all over the leaves. DUST. NOT DIRT. And it looked absolutely NOTHING like the pictures that they used on their website at all. Some of the monstera leaves were breaking apart and were completely cut in half. I wasn’t gifted a plant to have to rehabilitate it from the start. Even the newly grown leaves had discoloration and black holes. The edges of some new leaves were completely blackened and unable to be saved. In the middle of large leaves were random holes. Additionally, some leaves were just completely split in half.

I ordered a heftily priced LARGE ZZ plant from the website. It’s about as big as the small plants that sit on my window sill. In fact, the planter is bigger than the actual plant. I didn’t have the heart to return it, because I love plants, but my entire experience with The Sill has been trash. They also tried to send me a fern that wasn’t potted that someone literally put in a DIRTY, USED, planter. And one of my saucers (after taking forever to arrive) came broken. Never again.

I ordered a plant on December 15th and it still hasn't arrived(currently January 26th). It was supposed to be a Christmas present for my mother. I messaged them about it and they said I had ordered (and paid) for a plant that was already out of stock. They never followed up or made sure that the money was refunded or that the order was completed. Definitely won't be shopping here again.
