I’m always looking forward to my next appointment and having a friendly visit with Mitchell. The salon is top notch, always neat, clean and everyone is very friendly and professional. I called the Strand to make an appointment for a Brazilian wax for my first time. The lady I spoke with was nice and easy to talk with. When I arrived the place was clean, bright, and they had a wide selection of products. The two receptionists welcomed me and answered any questions I had. The Strand are on top of covid regulations, such as wearing masks, asking customers to use hand sanitizer etc. When it was time for my appointment, the esthetician was very nice and cheerful. I let her know it was my first time. She walked me through each process and products and explained what it was for. We used a soft wax since that is what they use. She made the process quick and easy, such as telling me to take a deep breath in and out. Although, I’m not sure if the waxing itself was good. When she left, I was suppose to put a lotion on. I could still feel some hairs that were missed and a lot of spots that felt like the hairs were broken off. But, considering it was my first time, I’m not mad. With this experience at the Strand I will visit another spa in the same area before I go back; so I can get a better idea between soft and hard waxes. Overall, I would go back. They are a friendly company, trusting, and very professional. I may not go back specifically for a wax, but I’d be very open to having my hair done, nails etc. It was “money well spent.”
