The standard of service we received from the Student Lettings Company was terrible! I suggest all students actively avoid this company. They do not solve serious problems when they arise, they do not return deposits on time and in anyway they can attempt to screw you over for the houses that they as a company own. They even once charged me and my friends more money than was owed. Simply terrible service.

Poor customer service. Lack of professionalism. Arrived to a dirty house. At the beginning of our tenancy we were not provided a full set of keys. This last set of keys took weeks to arrive and when we complained about the delay we were asked to 'go and get it cut ourselves'. Dealt with issues directly with the landlord as SLC were extremely unresponsive. Upon leaving the house in a condition which was cleaner than our arrival, we were charged an arbitrary cleaning charge which was removed from our deposit. No specific details on this general charge were given. Out of all my four years at university in Loughborough, these were by far the poorest letting agency I have dealt with. Steer clear if you want hassle-free, friendly communication with your potential letting agency. I don't particularly take any pleasure from giving a bad review to anyone but I'm more concerned about veering people away from the poor service me and my housemates had to put up with.
