When it comes to transmissions and any diagnostic around transmissions, these guys are the absolute best. Very good price and they know exactly what they’re doing. I had other issues with my car besides the transmission and they had pointed out what needs to be fixed and that this is not their expertise and made recommendations for other shops and gave me warnings of how mechanics can take advantage of my situation. Thank you guys so much. I’m so happy

The short story, is the guys at the Transmission Shop are awesome! Long story is that I came to them with a very non-standard transmission problem. You see, the Truck is a 1946 Ford ½ ton pickup with a NON stock drivetrain (i.e. a complicated mess). Its a Ford truck with a Small block Chevy V8 from a 1960 Bel Air, a transmission from a 1988 C1500 Truck with custom crossmembers and mounts, the pressure plate and clutch are from a 1993 Chevy Pickup, a custom clutch system with a Wilwood Master Cylinder and a dorman Slave cylinder, a Core products short throw long arm shifter, a custom drive shaft.. etc. The point is, this is not your average production vehicle. In addition, it’s been in the family for as long as I can remember and this is the first time the truck has been left in the hands of anyone other than my father and I. I was nervous, but Julio the store manager and Mike the owner were great people first and foremost. They put me at ease. The whole team is top notch, honest and up front. They worked hard to resolve an issue with 4th gear in my gearbox (kept popping out on deceleration). One of those weird problems that sometimes does not make sense. Tom sorted it out, and solved it. I have 450 miles on it already and no issues! I don’t do many reviews, but have to for these guys. Thanks everyone at the Transmission Shop. I got the hood back on and came up to take a picture, but got there late after you closed (see attached photo). Another time. Yes, I do recommend The Transmission Shop! Thank you! David Russell

Hands down would 10 out of 10 recommend this shop to anybody located in the Dallas Fort Worth area. I recently had some performance modifications done to my vehicle and my tuner stated that my lagging issue was possible due to my transmission fluid being low. Took my car in with no appointment and the guys literally walked me through the process of checking my fluid step by step, even allowed me to video them checking the fluid only to find out that my fluid was full and good! These guys are true experts and super professional! Love it! Now I have supporting evidence that my transmission is fine with video proof and that it’s obviously the tune I received.

Great group of skilled mechanics. As for Julio...he was very friendly and understanding of my situation. Julio gave me the best option for my price point, seeing as how I had just lost a loved one the day after I dropped off my Lexus and I had a million things to take care of, Julio still let me know that I purchased a faulty part and gave me time to get it corrected and put me at the head of the line when I did. Knowing that The Transmission Shop can serve Lexus, I will be there when it's time to service....Thanks Fellas Rick D.Diilard
