Last time I was there, the macaws and large parrots were out of their cages and wandering around. According to the store owner, they may bite fingers off. A warning only extended after I had begun to interact with one. Now, I did assume they were safe enough, since they were wandering around. But, he should have posted a sign. So, be careful and visit at your own risk. Besides that, the fish were in such hideous conditions that even petsmart fish are better treated. No air flow in any tank, completely dark, dead fish floating around and it seemed like algae had coated the waters surface as well. These fish were sentenced to a slow painful death. This store sucks.

Awesome little exotic pet store that caters to everything other than dogs and cats. Really cute birds, lizards, even crickets to feed them... Rabbits... Even..
Amazing selection! The gentleman that runs the store is very well educated and willing to answer and elaborate on any questions you have. Great prices and even better animals. Made a 2 hour drive and was greeted by José the big red parrot . Amazing experience and will be back for sure to buy a new pet!
Mr. Cresty, our crested gecko is thriving. We got him from Chris at the Urban zoo back in April. Chris has many fine small pets in his store. Everything from beautiful baby budgies to adorable hamsters to bearded dragon babies. (The dragon babies are absolutely adorable and if we had space...) Terrific pet store. Lots of stock and great advice.
Editing to add: changing my review from originally a 5 start then to a 4 star now to 1 star. I went in at noon and none of the birds had food and their water looked like it hadn't been changed in days. I left the store feeling stressed out and sad for all of the animals. Edited to add: I changed my review from a 5 star to a 4 star because I went in on the weekend to buy a Meyers parrot (I brought a cage with me because I was sure I was going to get her) and the owner was off and the staff member working had no idea what he was talking about and couldn't give me any information on the Meyers. He couldn't even figure out which of the two was the friendly one so I took it upon myself and asked if I could open the cage, he said yes but then came up and closed the cage a few minutes later because the rainbow Lori was trying to get in. So I got the rainbow Lori back in its cage and opened the Meyers cage again but then he came up and shut it again. I left empty handed and upset. I also peaked into a couple of the bird cages and the water was dirty and grimy with multiple dead bugs in them. I feel like the staff needs better training, and perhaps more staff to help clean the cages. If you attend while Chris the owner is their on a weekday I'm sure your experience will be better.
I have never been so disgusted with the state of a pet store. I have been in many caring for a lizard myself. The smell of rot left me feeling sick to my stomach after leaving. The cleanliness of all the cages were disgusting. The smell of the store alone gives off the first hint of neglect the the animals need for cleanliness and attention. Murky and half full water bowls. Fecal matter everywhere in all the cages. I am so dissapointed. Do not support this.
I visited to find a budgie and immediately the first thing that hit me was the awful smell of the location and the filth. The place looked like it it hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time, cobwebs all over products and many of the animals were left without things such as toys or hides. The man there wasn’t rude to us like other comments have mentioned, but I am very disappointed in the state of the place.
Drove in to town to discover they only had one bird available. Our fault for not checking but they had zero information on the bird. Was he older or young? No idea. Most products were second hand and dirty.
