A fantastic rock feature that's like a natural playground for the young and old and amazing views to the North. It's a nice and gentle walk to get to the Whangie although as with all hills can be a tad muddy at parts and icy in the winter.
Great first hill for little ones.
Never actually found it (left a bit late to explore and was losing sunlight). The walk to the summit was good and not too hard. Took a 4 y/o and he made it quite easily. Good views on the way up and at the top of Loch Lomond.
Easy walks with amazing views. - Great for families and Dog walkers. - Upwards walk to begin with but flattens slightly the closer to the Whangie natural feature you get. * Returned multiple times *
An easy walk from Queen's View car park. On the route there are greats views north of loch Lomond, and Ben Lomond. Then once you get to the Whangie its an amazing natural feature of vertical rock strata layers that can be walked through or climbed over. Go beyond the Whangie and walk to the Old Kilpatrick Hills and their reservoirs.
Still a great place to practice climbing.
One of my favourite quick walks around Glasgow.
