Fantastic Motorhome stopover. Free to stay (if you visit the pub) toilet, shower, WC disposal and fresh water. 5 if you require electric. Quaint country pub, close to the A1(M). Very reasonable priced food, 2 pints of Peroni and 2 portions of fresh cut home made chips 13. Lush!!!
Simple cosy & unpretentious restaurant (dog friendly). The owner/chef, Beth, puts love into her delicious home-style food, served in very good portions. There are 5 bays for campervans/motorhome to park overnight for free (provided that you patronise the establishment; which I strongly recommend that you have to taste Beth's cooking) and usage of a toilet/shower unit facility, "sluice juice" disposal and water supply. Electric hook up available upon request at 5p.n. Excellent pit stop. Highly recommended. (Dog owners take note; the house cat "Gizmo" is the boss)
The first stop of our holiday in the motorhome .the steak and chips are a bargain 5 .carnt thank the customers there enough .helping me out with my sat dish problem . once again thank you all
Visited while holidaying in our motorhome. Received a lovely welcome as we stayed overnight in their designated camper area. Electric hook up for 5 was very reasonable. Shower room very clean and well maintained. Staff and landlady very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend this stopover and will definitely call again when in the area. Thank you so much.
Unfortunately this lovely, welcoming public house will be CLOSING down at the end of New Years week. There are no plans at present as to when/or if it will reopen.
Very good hospitality. Staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed there in our motorhome for a night and we'll definitely return.
