So nice a place for stay! Just like home away from home. Though no frills, no fancies YET you will feel as comfy as if you are still around your own abode! Lady, the owner, is so nice, kind and helping that you would just like to drop in again whenever you are around mountains again!!

We went for the day to Collingwood and at about 4 pm we decided to stay for the night in Collingwood. Beaver Motel was the only place available so we called and booked a room. We went to check in, the lady was nice paid and got the keys. We went to the room, as soon you open the door the smell of mold was very noticeable. The furniture is very old and falling apart, the washroom OMG the washroom was so dirty, toilet seat never been cleaned, sink still had spit from whoever was there last the mat in front of the tub was disgusting looked like it was outside and then put in there. The bed cover and blanket never seen a washer. Pillows very flat. Spider webs everywhere. God knows what else crawls in there. No A/C. We went out for dinner and decided not to stay there as it was not safe at all. Lady snoops in the rooms when you are not there. We went back to give her the keys and let her know we were not staying. She did not offer the money back at all and didn’t even care about the situation that the room was in. We should had checked before we paid. This place should not be open at all. With Covid going on, this place should be fined and closed down. DISGUSTING, DISAPPOINTED, UNSAFE!!!
It is not a fancy place but the room was clean and good hot water in the shower. Bed was fairly comfortable. The lady running the place was super sweet. I will stay there again if I get into the area.
If you're looking for some good accomodation at cheap price near blue mountains, You must visit this place. The owner lady is too kind and sweet to customers.
Quiet, comfortable and clean, the Beaver is our go to stop in the area. It's not new, and the furniture is worn, the rooms a bit musty, but it does the trick and doesn't cost a purse of dough to stay here. No a.c. but we were provided with a powerful and quiet fan that was more than enough cooling even in hot muggy weather. I had the best sleep ever. I think the best part of the Beaver is the proprietress, Sheila, who is friendly, warm and generous of heart. She, more than anything else about the place, keeps us coming back.

Disrespectful staff!!!!! My hubby is a trucker and was there with 3 other of his coworkers. These men are respectful, clean, hardworking men. They had rented and PAID for a room with 2 beds. All 4 wanted to shower, without disrupting any other guests, just an honest shower, and the front desk personnel CALLED THE POLICE!! These are honest hard working men, who deliver everything that is in the motel, and everything that employee owns. They work hard to supply the world with its needs, and only shower every few days when they can find one. They paid to use this room and the shower, did not cause you a ruckus, left everything neat and tidy in the room, and just wanted to have a nice shower. How dare you call the police, especially for something ridiculous and not even an emergency!? Using tax payer money because hard working men wanted to use a shower that they paid to have access to for the night. I am ASHAMED of the Beaver Motel and would never recommend it to anyone!! Disgraceful!!
Would love to have a chopping knife for tomorrow after work. l!!!
